The second annual Imprint: Culture Lab was like a first rock concert, the last week of summer camp, or an early morning dream - you didn't want it to end, and you didn't want to leave. Everyone commented throughout the day and a half of panels and workshops that they could have gone on for another week talking about and hearing from the community of taste-makers, investigators, and barrier-breakers gathered from across the globe. But the challenge of keeping to a schedule was definitely worth the complaints - nothing says "successful event" like a group complaining they wanted to stay.

What began as a symposium revolving around themes of ethnicity, urban culture and technology quickly turned into the identification of a popular culture that thrives on authenticity, respect, and a sweet set of kicks. We concluded that Asian America is a transparency to all aspects of culture, from high brow to the low down, and our relevance is as much impressed as it is impressive. It is an imprint.
