Communications, Inc., a full service marketing

(AASG) during its 2004 Bravo Awards. This year's awards
ceremony took place on Sunday, May 2nd at the Omni Hotel

Founded in 1961, the Asia America Symphony was originally
known as the Japanese Philharmonic Orchestra of Los
Angeles, a community ensemble of union and
nonunion musicians. In 1991, under the director of former Los Angeles Philharmonic
violist
and assistant conductor Heiichiro Ohyama, it became a fully professional
orchestra and was renamed the Japan America Symphony Orchestra. To better
reflect the diversity
of Los Angeles' growing Asian population, it was renamed the Asian America
Symphony Orchestra in 1995.
Renowned pianist and composer David Benoit was appointed
music director and conductor in 2001. Benoit was on
hand May 2nd to conduct the Asia America
Symphony Youth
Orchestra during the 2004 Bravo Awards presentation. Benoit and Ted T.
Tanaka,
AASA president and Bravo Awards chairman presented Julia Huang with the
award.
In accepting the award on behalf of interTrend Communications,
Julia Huang noted that the ad agency's team of specialists
"work diligently
on behalf
of all of
its clients to build strong communications within the Asian American
community in the U.S. This award is significant and much appreciated
